AWS Cloud Engineer

We are currently seeking an Amazon Cloud Engineer. This role will be responsible for design and architecting of solutions for data center systems hardware and software, and related IT systems. The role requires understanding of Managed Services operations for multiple environments, leveraging support teams spread across geographic locations. This Position requires excellent communication skills and client service focus, and deep background in system administration.

Desired Technical Skills:

  • Experience in automating Infrastructure and Application deployments.
  • Experience working in an Agile, fast paced, DevOps environment
  • Experience in CI and CD tools to automate testing and deployment (CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, AWS Code Pipeline).
  • Experience with Python, Ruby, Java or PHP
  • Experience working in a Containerized environment (Docker/Cluster)
  • Experience automating and orchestrating workloads across multiple public cloud providers (Preferred: AWS)
  • Automation experience with at least one configuration management system such as Terraform, Chef, Puppet, Ansible, AWS Cloud Formation, Salt
  • Experience with Testing Infrastructure As Code such as Test-Kitchen, Kitchen-Terraform
  • Proficient with Git and Git Workflows


  • Experience designing and building application/DB on AWS
  • Advanced hands on experience with Oracle and Postgres database administration
  • Advanced knowledge of various AWS services such as VPC, EC2, ELB, RDS, Redshift, Dynamo DB, Route53, S3, EMR & IAM
  • Infrastructure automation through scripting (E.g. shell, Python, Java, JSON).
  • Hands on experiences in Cloud Formation and Lambda
  • AWS Associate Level Certification required (AWS Professional Level Certification a plus)
  • A team player capable of high performance and flexibility in a dynamic working environment
  • Written and oral communication skills – ability to communicate technical concepts and support assertions with data
  • Organizational skills – ability to coordinate and prioritize many issues simultaneously in a very fast pace environment
  • Analytical/Problem solving ability – ability to quickly evaluate an issue, resolve it or implement a Take ownership and act with high Sense of Urgency – this job requires the individual to work like an entrepreneur, self-motivated and self-starter.
